Holyoke's First Snow

Sunday night into Monday morning we had some snow fall. It began early in the afternoon on Sunday and called it quits very early Monday morning. I spent a good deal of time outside as I was working on an unrelated photo essay. Here are a few images from Sunday and Monday.

  2. What do you like Holyoke or something? Great shots......MainSt., Mosher and Bowers. Did you see recently on GUIH the photos of a parade at that location celebrating the end of WWI.

  3. I have actually just viewed this image bout two weeks ago at the City's planning office. I was doing some research and work for Vacancy and this image was shown to me. I had no idea Holyoke once had a Flat iron Building.

  4. Jeff these are awesome! Funny you mention that about that building - I've seen lots of historic Springfield pics, and if were transported back 100 years, I think I'd be lost! It's amazing how much a city changes over the years, and what comes and goes...I was out and about a little, and was thinking about making some pics, but my camera may not be as weather-proof as yours so I decided not to - I knew you would be though, so I'm glad you posted em!

  5. Thank you. Recently I have come into view of some amazing changes throughout the last couple decades in Holyoke. I can not image how much Springfield's landscape has changed, as that city is larger had just as much production going on at one point and time. I can not resist going out in conditions like that. I was less concerned with the elements as I was the cold. It was very raw outside that night.
